I voted for the first time when I was eleven. I was an exceptional child. It wasn’t political, it was more serious than that. I voted by mail, but I didn’t have an absentee ballot, I just had the ballot that was in the cereal box.
I found reference material that asserts there are fifty-three edible nuts. I wasn’t actually looking for nuttiness, it found me (I need to make that clear). The list is interesting and I think we should discuss it, but I can tell you right off the bat that, while there may technically be fifty-three kinds of nuts you can eat, there are really only four that deliver any kind of eating satisfaction whatsoever. In order to provide clarification, I have included a photograph of three of the four (the pistachio refused to be photographed for this article).
I got my dream job last night. I had been thinking about getting out of the office, about finding something beyond a cubicle and a desk where I could maybe be outdoors and do something more gratifying. Since the career path I’m on now is likely to leave me alone and penniless why not take a chance on something more organic and basic? So I took a job on a farm. A fish farm.
