The mind is a factory. Manufacturing never stops. It runs a graveyard shift. It mostly makes stuff – literally manufactures it – that is an illusion. If this factory had a slogan it might be, The Human Mind, We Work Hard Every Day To Fill Your Head With Shit That’s Not True.
The biggest problem with this factory, with this making-up of fantastic stories and dangerous untruths and downright lies and the occasional brilliant thought or story, is that whatever gets manufactured and invented here instantly becomes reality. Well, not real reality, just the kind of reality that the human body can be tricked into believing.
The human body is the most gullible rube that ever walked upright. Our physical forms are all just standing here waiting to be duped. I can’t begin to list the absurd things my mind has told my body that my dumbass body has bought hook-line-and-sinker.
My body never asks any questions, never asks for proof or empirical data. My body never raises its hand and tells my mind, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, just hold on a second here … you’re not really the boss of me and almost everything you come up with smells fishy.” Body never says that! All my mind has to do is point and my fuckin’ body will just go running off in that direction, getting a hundred strides down the beach before asking, “Where am I going?”
The stuff made at the mind factory is a lot like the stuff made at other manufacturing plants, that is, things break down before the warranty expires, the features advertised never work as good as they claim and what seemed like a good investment when you bought it ends up being a waste of money.
Buyer beware, the human mind can’t be trusted. This mind, this 24-hour factory, is a selfish, emotional pain in the ass. Everything it does is reactionary, it lays in wait for conclusions it can jump to.
The mind factory mostly pumps out crap and on most days it’s bad for your physical environment.
Anyway, I’m just saying that you should be careful out there and don’t let what goes on in your head – what gets churned out of the mind factory – override the beautiful possibilities that dwell in your soul.
As for me, if you occasionally read the words displayed here, then you well know that I stopped using my mind entirely quite some time ago.
